HISTORY
A life between two worlds: Brazil and France,
art and sewing, freedom and commitment.
Monica Nogueira is a designer who transforms her heritage and unique journey into bold, sustainable and meaningful fashion.
Born in Goiânia, Brazil, Monica grew up surrounded by fabrics and needles, inheriting the know-how and creativity of her seamstress mother. Her cultural heritage and deep love for the forest and savannah still nourish her intimate connection with nature today.
Before founding her brand, Monica first expressed herself through music and dance. For over fifteen years, she graced stages around the world as a dancer and singer with the group Kaoma. This art of movement and freedom shaped her outlook: fashion, too, had to become a vibrant and liberated form of expression.
In Paris, Monica found a second home. She became closer to fashion, perfecting her techniques alongside big names like Jean Paul Gaultier, Chanel, Zadig & Voltaire, Etam… This immersion in haute couture instilled in her a demand for detail and rigorous finishing.
From this diverse heritage was born the MN brand , which embodies a new breath of fresh air for fashion: a high-end upcycling brand, where each creation is unique and designed to last. Here, style is nourished by audacity and authenticity, quality is guaranteed by demanding couture know-how, and commitment is reflected in respect for the environment and the valorization of existing materials.
